Jerry Leon CampbellI am a Veteran.

of Yellville, AR

March 22, 1943 - April 13, 2025

Jerry Leon Campbell, 82, of Yellville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 9:02 p.m., after a brave fight with cancer.

Jerry was born on March 22, 1943, in Newport, Arkansas. He spent most of his life in the state he loved and had called Yellville home since 1986. A skilled and hardworking mechanic, Jerry was known for his honesty, strong work ethic, and no-nonsense approach to fixing just about anything. For the last seven years, he was a proud and faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Anyone who knew Jerry will remember his easygoing nature and kind heart. He had a deep love for horses and fishing, and even in his final days, he talked often about his horses-they were a lifelong passion. Jerry also served his country with honor as a veteran, and he carried that same quiet strength throughout his life.

He leaves behind his life partner, Jan Godat, of the home; his son, Jerry Campbell Jr. of Yellville; his daughters, Lezlie Richards (Brett) of Bargersville, Indiana, and Deana Campbell (Jim) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Campbell, and his mother, Helen Jones.

A memorial service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church on April 26 at 1:00 p.m. Everyone who knew and loved Jerry is invited to come and help celebrate his life.

In place of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Hospice or New Hope Baptist Church-two sources of support and comfort that meant a great deal to Jerry.

Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.
