Marilyn Sue (Hutchins) Brown, 87, of Lamar, AR, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, in Russellville, AR. Marilyn was born on January 12, 1938, in Hagarville, AR. Marilyn loved the outdoors, especially walking, gardening, and growing flowers. She loved children and with her husband operated Raggedy Ann & Andy Daycare in Lamar. She also taught Sunday School and served as a church secretary for many years. She was an accomplished seamstress. She was a diligent worker all of her life in various jobs including selling Avon, working the assembly line at a shoe factory, printing Reader's Digest magazines, retail sales at Sears, manager at Stuckey's, and an associate and also manager of the snack bar at Walmart in Clarksville, where she retired after many years of service.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Charles Loren Brown, and two brothers.

She is survived by son Keith (Susan) Brown of Hagarville, AR; two daughters: Lisa (Rick) Dawson of London, AR, and Cherie (Dan) Roe of Russellville, AR; six grandchildren Christy (Bobby) Parsons, Chuck Brown, Matthew Brown, Sarah (Bradley) Stewart, James Roe, Jordan (Jennifer) Roe; eleven great-grandchildren: Ryan, Emelie, Levi, Charleigh, Jude, Collin, Raylen, Lyla, Noah, Gracelyn, and Remi; one brother Ray Hutchins of Hagarville; one sister Gloria Mason of Hagarville; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends throughout the community. Marilyn will be greatly missed.

Visitation 1:00 PM and memorial service 2:00 PM with Bro. Dale Walker officiating will be at Lamar Baptist Church on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
