Margaret Gangluff

of Sherwood, AR

October 19, 1937 - April 5, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Alice Hodge Gangluff, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, MawMaw, and friend. Born on the Dortch plantation in Scott, Arkansas, on October 19, 1937, to parents Murry K. and Margaret (Huett) Hodge, Margaret, fierce and proud, faced life with strength and determination, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Margaret dedicated over 25 years to Sylvan Hills Schools, where she touched the lives of countless students and colleagues with her hard work and caring nature. When she wasn't at work, Margaret found happiness in life's simple pleasures - tending to her garden, nurturing vibrant flowers, bird watching, curling up with a good book, baking cherished family recipes, and cheering on the Hogs. Most importantly, she poured her heart into her family and home, creating a warm, welcoming space where everyone felt loved, well-fed, and always had room for a sweet treat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband of 56 years, Edward Gangluff, and her four brothers, Murry, Norman, Roy, and Cecil Hodge. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her two sons, Ronald Gangluff (Lavanda) and David Gangluff; her sister, Lou Hodge Bolte; and many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Margaret's legacy is one of strength, pride, and a life well-lived. She will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her dedication to her family, and the love she brought to those around her.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., and a funeral service on Wednesday, April 9, at 1:00 p.m., both at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock. A procession to Gravel Ridge Cemetery will take place following the funeral service.
