Ms. Anna Jean Smith, 88 of Gassville, passed away Wednesday April 2, 2025. She was born November 18, 1936 in Wichita Falls, Texas, to the late William and Gertrude (Braun) Souther McCarthy.
Anna was a very loving person who was not only mother to her own children but a mother to all; her house was open to anyone who needed her. She loved to cook and welcomed all to her table. Her church family of the Bar None Cowboy Church was very important to her and she loved attending and being involved.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Ward Smith, son; Malvin Price, daughter; Deborah and husband Eddie Smith, grandson; Brentley Smith, grandson in-law; Oty Scalise, brothers; William, Wayne, and Frank, and her favorite uncle; Gus Braun.

She is survived by, sons; David and wife Peggy Price of Estero, Florida and James Smith of Mountain Home, Daughter; Georgina and husband Donnie Perry of Gassville, daughter in-law; Connie Price of Medicine Park, Oklahoma,13 grandchildren, 14 Great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, sister; Frances and husband James Reasor of Holiday, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Ms. Anna Smith will be Saturday April 5 from 6-8pm, at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home, funeral service will be Sunday April 6, at 2pm with Dusty Stanford officiating.
Pallbearers will be; Blaine Smith, Budd DeCosta, Jim Martin, Kyle Price, Jeremy Price and Dan Shaughnessy.
Honorary Pallbearers; Brett Perry and Gerald David Perry.
Interment will follow at Whiteville Cemetery in Gassville.
