Lester Carl Sells Jr., 72, of Smyrna, Tennessee passed away peacefully on March 20, 2025. He was born on January 28, 1953 in West Memphis, Arkansas to the late Lester and Viola Sells.

Lester was known for his kind heart, warm sense of humor and his love for life's simple pleasures. He had a deep appreciation for good food and was an avid supporter of local restaurants. Music was another passion of his, often filling his home with melodies and he enjoyed the calming sounds of nature. His love for gardening and bird watching was unmatched and he found joy in watching hummingbirds and other wildlife. As a proud supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Lester's enthusiasm for his team was contagious. He was also a dedicated collector, with interests in stamps and coins that gave him hours of enjoyment. Lester will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and the beauty he found in the world around him.

He is survived by his daughters, Katherine Jackson and her husband, Joseph and Sara Wood; grandchildren, Micheal Rowton, Carl Rowton and Leah Wilson; great grandchildren, Jasmine Wilson and Karly Wilson; nieces, Sheree Chrestman and Susan Weaver and nephew, Otis Rushing. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Signe Rushing.
