Michael Edward Bumgardner, 74, of Little Rock passed away March 5, 2025. He was born on December 16, 1950 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to James C. and Syble (Miller) Bumgardner. The family moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas when he was young and he was raised there, alongside his younger brother, mother and step-father. During his youth, Mike enjoyed playing baseball and hanging out at the local pool halls, often hustling the locals into friendly games of pool. Mike graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1969 and afterwards enlisted in the United States Army.

Later, Mike moved to Little Rock where he met his wife, Donna (Harkrider) Bumgardner and they married in September of 1983. Together they raised two children and they enjoyed traveling with kids' baseball and softball teams. Mike enjoyed coaching baseball for many years and during the off-season he enjoyed trout fishing on the White River. Later in his life, Mike enjoyed frequent trips to Tunica, where he was an avid blackjack player and made many friends.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard "Dick". He is survived by his wife of 41 years; two children, Jessica (Greg) Walker and Blake (Kayla) Bumgardner; four grandchildren, Keegan and Harper (Bright Eyes) Walker and Brodie and Noah Bumgardner; one brother, Charles (Laurie) Bumgardner and sister, Mary (Peewee) Setser.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 1:00pm with the service to follow at 2:00pm at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I-30 in Little Rock.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude, Pulaski County Humane Society, Parkway Place Church and Geyer Springs First Baptist Church.
