Lois Cora Cochran

of West Memphis, AR

Lois Dawson Cochran, 94, passed away at her home on February 24, 2025. She was born on October 10, 1930 in Camp Wood, Texas to Sherman and Lee Dawson. Lois was a member of the First United Methodist Church in West Memphis and was a dedicated participant of ''Flexin with Flynn'' at the First Baptist Church in West Memphis. She was an avid reader and enjoyed making cookies for her family and the ladies at the Marion Library.

She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Holmes and Cindy Werner (Steve). She was affectionally known as Grandma, Memaw and Mamaw by her grandchildren, Kim Sturch (Ronnie), Jeff Holmes (Patty), Patrick Werner and Phillip Werner (Valerie); her great grandchildren, Tyler Holmes (Sydney), Ashley Holmes, Simon Mulder, Henry Mulder, Claire Werner, John David Werner, Calvin Werner and Quinn Werner and her great great grandson, Hudson Holmes.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Cochran; daughter, Cathy Smith and sisters, Doris Patrick and Mary Brown.

Visitation will be held March 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in West Memphis with a memorial service to follow. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Ethel, Arkansas. Family requests memorials be sent to First United Methodist Church or charity of his/her choice.
