Betty Bernea Loftin was born on March 3, 1930 to Myrtle Elizabeth (Sullins) and William Herbert Milam in Witts Springs Arkansas. She celebrated her birthday one last time on earth at midnight surrounded by her children on March 3, 2025 and then entered heaven to celebrate her first heavenly birthday with her daughter, Brenda; husband, Edgar and many other friends and loved ones.

Betty attended school at Witts Springs where she met the love of her life, Edgar Allen Loftin. They were married on June 1, 1947 and they celebrated 47 years of marriage before he passed away in 1994. Betty was a member of Witts Springs Community Bible Church where she faithfully served and attended until her health began to decline. She lived out her faith in front of her family by serving in VBS, Sunday School and providing meals for others. She began each day by drinking coffee while reading her bible and praying over her family and loved ones. She worked in HeadStart for over 20 years where she loved and cared for many students in Bruno and Witt Springs. She loved to cook for her family and anyone who came to visit, making everyone feel at home and like family. She loved growing fruits, vegetables and flowers which she generously shared with others. Her feisty and defensive nature earned her the beloved nickname of ''Betty Bull'' from her many brothers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
