Wayne Allen, a man of diverse passions and unwavering devotion to his family and country, passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 78, following a courageous battle with a long illness.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Wayne served his nation with honor and dedication. Beyond his military service, Wayne embraced life with enthusiasm. He found joy in the rhythm of Country Western dancing, a passion that led him to his beloved wife, Jackie. Their love story, born on the dance floor, was a testament to the power of shared passions. Wayne's interests were as varied as they were vibrant. He was an avid NASCAR fan, relishing the thrill of the race. He found solace in the tranquility of fishing, casting his line into peaceful waters. His hands were skilled in the art of restoring classic cars, a hobby that spoke to his appreciation for craftsmanship and history. He also found a creative outlet in painting, expressing his inner world through color and form. Above all, Wayne cherished his family.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Jackie; his sons, Wayne S. Allen and Michael J. Allen; brother, Richard and sisters, Valerie and Charlotte; as well as his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His legacy of love and devotion will live on in their hearts.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery on March 3, 2025 at 11:30 AM, where Wayne will be laid to rest, his service to his country remembered.
