Helen Jane ''Topsy'' Westbrook Taylor, 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her beloved family on Friday, February 14, 2025.
She was born on Friday, June 24, 1938 in Judsonia, Arkansas to the late Charles Leon ''Dutch'' Westbrook and Gwendolyn ''Winnie'' (Ellenburg) Westbrook.
She grew up in Judsonia, graduating from Judsonia High School in 1956. During her formative years, Helen spent a good deal of time on the courts and developed a deep love of basketball, playing for her high school team. She took her love of basketball and carried it with her throughout her lifetime. She exemplified the definition of a lifelong basketball fan and loved the Arkansas Razorbacks. Helen worked in the manufacturing industry for 17 years in the shipping department at Universal Nolan. She went on to work for Conway Regional Hospital in the payroll department until she retired. She was a member of Liberty Church of Christ.
Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 29 years, Vonnie G. Taylor; son, Michael C. Cockrum and sister, Therma J. ''Sissy'' Bennett.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Charles W. Cockrum (Tammy) of Conway, Greg D. Cockrum of Cabot, Christopher L. Cockrum (Karen) of Conway and Steven L. Cockrum (Dana) of Plumerville; 13 grandchildren, Charlie (Shayla), Tiffany, Taylor (Matthew), Rachel (Brandon), Cynthia, Christina, Justin (Rebecca), Keli (Joshua), Devan, Alyssa (Tyler), Michael, Mattison and Mason; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jan Althausen, of Twin Falls, ID and Terri Kienlen (Alex) of Conway, AR and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2025 at 1:00pm, followed by the service at 2:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home with Reverend Larry Pearce officiating. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway.
