It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenny Buchholz of Clarksville, Arkansas, beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, who passed away on January 28, 2025 at the age of 88.
Born in Plankinton, South Dakota, on July 29,1936 to John and Tillie Buchholz, Kenny was known for his remarkable mechanical aptitude and industrious spirit. A dedicated airplane mechanic technician in the United States Air Force, Strategic Air Command, Lincoln, Nebraska from 1955-1959. He proudly served his country, developing a deep expertise in mechanics that he carried throughout his life.
After his enlisted service to his country, Kenny went on to build a successful RV sales and service business, dedicating over 60 years to the industry. His hard work and commitment helped countless customers find the perfect RV for their adventures, and he was well-respected in the community for his knowledge and integrity.
He was not only a skilled mechanic but also a teacher to his children, instilling in them the values of hard work and problem-solving skills. His lessons extended far beyond the garage, guiding them in all aspects of life and leaving a lasting impression on their character.
He is survived by his children, Clinton Buchholz of Rogers, Arkansas, Gregory (Roxanne) Buchholz of Rogers, Arkansas; Laural (Greg) Byrd of Lee's Summit, Missouri; and Karla (Brian) Ruth of Afton, Oklahoma. His children will always cherish his ingenuity and the invaluable lessons he taught them through his hands-on approach to life. In addition to his children, he is survived by his sisters, Darlene Burrows and Sharon Covey, numerous nieces and nephews, eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, John and Tillie, his brothers, Clinton, Lloyd, Neil, Marlyn, and Jack, and a great-grandson, Jack Oliver Turner. In honor of his military service, Kenny will receive a military burial at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma, where family will gather to pay their respects and remember him.
