John Leroy Lewis was born on May 15, 1966 in Kansas City, Kansas and passed away at the age of 58 on February 6, 2025 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He loved fishing and his children fondly remember family outings at their favorite fishing hole at Norfork Lake. He also enjoyed hunting, camping and anything that involved being outdoors. He was a member of the Church of Christ and always maintained his belief in Jesus Christ as his Savior.

John is survived by his mother, Marva Lewis of Washburn, Missouri; eight children, Cristy Lewis of Bentonville, Aransas, Joshua Lewis of Bentonville, Alisha Hartman of Washburn, Mark Lewis of Mountain Home, Arkansas, John Lewis of Mountain Home, Danielle Lewis of Mountain Home, Christopher Lewis of Las Vegas, Neveda and Travis Lewis of Conway, Arkansas; 5 siblings, Mark Lewis of Decatur, Texas, Bill Lewis of Seligman, Missouri, Rhonda Life of Washburn, Tina Lewis of Bentonville and James Lewis of Wheaton, Missouri and ten grandchildren, Madison, Rylen, Bryson, Saundria, Elliona, Kyler, Delylah, Stone, Jackson and Skyler. John was preceded in death by his father, John William Lewis.

A private memorial service for family and loved ones will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the Cross Street Church of Christ in Mountain Home. John's ashes will later be spread at his favorite fishing spot. John left us prematurely and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family appreciates all the love and support they have received during this difficult time.
