John Henry DeNeui Jr.

John Henry DeNeui Jr. passed away on February 6, 2025 at the age of 95 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by the passing of his wife of nearly 60 years, Bettye Ruth DeNeui in August 2023 in Pope County, Arkansas.
He was born on February 24, 1929 in Twin Brooks, South Dakota. He was a decades-long resident of the Russellville/Dover area.
John was friends with his neighbors, loved cats and was an apprentice quilter under the ever-watchful eye of his spouse. John retired after 20 years from the Airforce, serving in Alaska, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Hawaii and Germany.
He is survived by his daughter, Diana Fine and husband, Ron of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his son, David M. Oliver and wife, Kristin of Fort Myers, Florida; five grandchildren, Mark Andrew Fine, MD and wife, Tabitha of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Emily Hayasaki and husband, Casey of Starbase, Texas, Jamie Herman and husband, Ben of Port Matilda, Pennsylvania, Jessica Oliver and husband, Ryan of Fort Myers, Florida and Laila Fawver and husband, Chris of Fort Myers, Florida.
He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, Ethan, Owen, Natalie, Fox, Ruby, Ruth, Braylen, Eden and Oliver. He was close with and survived by his late wife's siblings, Bessie Banks and husband, Floyd of Fort Worth, Texas and Calvin Smith of Rome, Georgia; multiple nieces and nephews, Karen, Leeah, Lauren, Terrie, Ricky and Mark; as well as four great-great nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.
Cremation arrangements are being made under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas. A memorial service will be held at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery in Oklahoma City alongside of his wife, Bettye.
