Eric Charles Kocke was born March 24th, 1958 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and entered peacefully into eternal rest on February 5th, 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Eric spent 22 years serving in the United States Air Force retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1998. He eventually went back to school graduating from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelors in Education in 2007. He then spent the remainder of his career as an JROTC instructor serving students in Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee. After retirement he moved closer to his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren in Arkansas. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hiking, canoeing, watching the LSU Tigers, volunteering with the American Legion and spending time with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edward Kocke, Jr and Marie Troxclair Kocke, sister Katherine Kocke Olivier, and brother-in-law Thomas Hebert. He is survived by his children Petty Officer 2nd Class U.S. Navy Samuel Kocke (Candace), Micale Goodhart (Jeff), three grandchildren: Natalija Kocke, Marin Goodhart, and Jonah Goodhart and by his siblings Louise Kocke Rich (Skip), John Kocke (Anita), Paul Kocke (Jackie), Jane Kocke Howson (David), Fay Kocke DePaula, June Kocke Hebert, Edward Kocke, III (Tina), 15 nieces and nephews and family friend Joe Wray.

Visitation services will be at Wilbert Funeral Home in Plaquemine, Louisiana on Saturday March 8th, 2025 at 11:30 in the morning. Following the service, Eric will be interred with his parents at Grace Memorial Cemetery in Plaquemine, Louisiana.

Our family is grateful for the kindness he received while living in memory care and for the compassionate and loving care provided by Arkansas Hospice during his final days.
