of Hot Springs, AR
December 30, 1946 - January 29, 2025
Joe Perry Reeves of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away on January 29, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was 78 years old. After an eight-year battle with dementia, Joe was called Home to be with his Lord and Savior.
Born on December 30, 1946, in Joiner, Arkansas, Joe was the son of Thomas Herman and Minnie Leigh Reeves. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and his family was always at the center of his heart. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Bates, Robert, and Billy Reeves, and two sons.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Elizabeth Reeves, and his children: Crystal (Brian) Hedrick, Martha (Lee) Coatney, Rebecca Kincannon, and Eric Kincannon. Joe also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Zachariah Helfrich, Brady Kincannon, Hayleigh Helfrich, Sophia Kincannon, Aubrey Hedrick, and Heather (Landon) Smith, along with two great-grandchildren, Blakelyn and Kash Smith. He is also survived by his brother, Blaine Reeves of West Memphis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Joe was known for his infectious positivity, often answering "Super Peachy King" when asked how he was doing-especially during his time at St. Joseph's Hospital, where he retired after 32 years of service. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and his daughters often turned to him for help with anything that needed fixing. Joe's kindness, generosity, and joy will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A special thank you goes to The Springs of Park Avenue and Elite Hospice for their compassionate care during Joe's final years.
Funeral services will be held at Lakeshore Heights Baptist Church in Hot Springs on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with Verne Wickliffe officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Hot Springs.
