Sandra "Sandy" Sue Watt

Sandra Sue Watt, 83, recently of Wichita, Kansas, died in Wichita on January 24, 2025. She was born in Lewistown, Pennsylvania on February 2, 1941, to Walter and Matilda ''Tillie'' (Scyoc) Pierce. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Isaac Hamilton and Clarissa May (Chamberlain) Pierce and Roy Earl and Margaret Jane (Donahey) Scyoc; her parents, Walter Hamilton and Matilda Irene (Scyoc) Pierce; her husband, Harry Arthur Watt; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Rittenhouse and her great-granddaughter, Paige Andrews.

Sandy graduated high school in Lewistown and soon married her husband, Harry Watt, on July 31, 1959. The family then moved to Harrison, Arkansas in 1974. Sandy worked numerous jobs including as a telephone operator and a day care worker where she loved the little babies. She loved watching Little League baseball and her Razorback football and basketball.

She is survived by her brothers, Douglas Alan and Marlene (Sheriff) Pierce of Belleville, Pennsylvania and Walter Earl Pierce; her sons, Steven Douglas Watt of Buffalo, Missouri and Robert Watt and wife, Laura (Olson) of Flippin, Arkansas; her daughter, Margaret Jane (Watt) Erwin and husband, Michael of Wichita, Kansas and her son, Michael Harry Watt and wife, Heidi (Schubarth) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Sandy has the following grandchildren, Holly Aron (Watt) Mize and husband, Kurt Kroeck of St Louis, Missouri, Khara Nicole Watt of Buffalo, Missouri, Alexandra (Watt) Brundage and husband, Justin of Springfield, Missouri, Tessa Siobhan Watt of Springfield, Missouri, Robert Gunnar Watt and wife, Lindsay (Anderson) of Elkins, Arkansas, Benjamin Raymond Erwin of Wichita, Kansas, Ryan Harry Watt of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Megan Sue Watt also of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Her great-grandchildren include Steven Cahoon of St Louis, Missouri, Aiden Mize of St Louis, Missouri, Thomas Kroeck of St Louis, Missouri, Tyler Andrews of Buffalo, Missouri, Austin and wife, Alyssa Watt of Buffalo, Missouri and Aiden Brundage of Springfield, Missouri. Her great-great-granddaughter is Cora Watt of Buffalo, Missouri. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



The funeral service was held at the Roller-Christeson Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

The interment was at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
