Ward Scot Wilhelms was born on February 13, 1961 in Estherville, Iowa to Ralph and Donna Wilhelms. He began his school years in Loveland Colorado and graduated high school at Fourche Valley School in Briggsville, Arkansas. He married the love of his life Judy Schlaf in 2003. He absolutely adored his ''Miss Judy.''
Ward was a welder, an underwater diver/welder, specialty fabricator, and worked six years in the Colorado oil fields. He worked for Lee Point Construction in Clarksville and at one point had his own company B&W Millwright in Clarksville.
He loved being outdoors and liked doing things ''The Cowboy Way''. He was an avid leather worker and spent every spare moment braiding lines of leather. Ward was a ''prankster'' and would do almost anything for a laugh. His campfire stories were especially memorable. He had a passion for restoring old cars and attending car shows.
Ward was blessed with three children; Cyler, Tori and Brody and 4 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Donna Wilhelms and by his granddaughter Harper Faith Beach.
Those left behind will miss him terribly. He is survived by his wife Judy Wilhelms, children; Cyler (Rachel) Wilhelms of Rover, Arkansas, Tori (Phillip) Beach of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Brody (Mackensie) Wilhelms of Clarksville, AR; grandchildren Wyatt, Katherine, Livi Kate; brothers Fred and Justin Wilhelms and sister Madaline (Seth Sherill). He was loved by numerous nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many friends.
Ward was called home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on December 23, 2024.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, at 10:00 AM at Clarksville Church of Christ. His ashes will be buried at Jack Creek Cemetery in High Lake Township, Iowa.
