Kathy is a loving mother, grandmother and even great grandmother who is also a Native teacher and mentor. Kathy loved sports starting from playing softball in her youth to eventually coaching softball and was an avid fan of Women's college basketball and Kansas City Chiefs football. Kathy was a talented artist with jewelry, quilting and many crafts. Kathy had a love for nature and the outdoors which included flowers, gardening, a love for all animals and in several instances, she took in mistreated and abandoned animals to love as her own.
Kathy and her spouse, Monty, shared a love for classic cars and took interest in complete restoration projects for both a 1953 5-Window Chevy Pickup and 1958 Chevy Apache Pickup. They also did restorations on their beautiful 1967 Chevelle, named Janis. These restorations symbolize some of their shared experiences as a couple and craftmanship to preserving and bringing these vintage beauties back to life.
