Carl Ernest Henry, 89, of North Little Rock passed away on January 4, 2025.

He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Ruby; son, Richard Henry (Roben); daughters, Carla Greenway (D.A) and Tamara Henry; siblings, Brenda Davis (Jerry) and Wendell Henry (Jo Dean); grandchildren, Brooke Nalley (Chuck), Jessica Holmes (Ryan), Holly Lar (Scott), Beck Greenway (Adam) and Joe Holmes (Megan); great-grandchildren, Henry Nalley, Olivia Nalley, Jillian Holmes, Parker Holmes, Daniel Holmes, Ethan Lar and Harrison Lar and many nieces and nephews; along with many special friends.

Carl coached baseball, football and basketball to young boys in North Little Rock for over 40 years. Carl remained in touch with a few of his players and spoke often. Carl loved sports and wanted to share that with his players and made sure they got the opportunity to play, regardless of circumstances, which included rides to and from practice in the old red truck. Carl was born in Zoe, Oklahoma and lived in Mena until he married the love of his life, Ruby in 1956, where they lived in Millington, Tennessee, Hutchinson, Kansas and eventually remained in North Little Rock. Many of those years were spent at Burns Park, where he coached football and baseball. Eventually, the little league baseball field was named Carl Henry Field, in honor of the time he spent mentoring these young boys 6 to 13. This was his passion and it remained strong.

Carl was in the Navy for six years and during that time he was stationed in Kwajalein Atoll Island for a time.
