Thomas Henry Browne

of Sardis, AR

March 8, 1941 - January 7, 2025

The Earthly journey of Thomas Henry Browne began on March 8, 1941, it ended on January, 7th, 2025, just two months short of 84 years. The journey began in Little Rock, Arkansas with his birth to Nathan Bedford and Mary Elizabeth Leath Browne.

Early years of Tom's journey took him to Memphis, TN to El Paso, TX and back to Little Rock. Along the way, he was joined by his sister, Judy.

School days began in Little Rock, but because of the crisis in the Little Rock School District, he journeyed to North Carolina where he graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1959. After graduation, he returned to Little Rock to attend Little Rock College now UALR.

His journey took him down the wedding path four times. First to Billie Ann Norris then two more trips before he married Mollie Carmical Elder in 2004.

Funding for his journey was made possible by a time with the Pulaski County Sherriff's Office and later, working to becoming a Master Electrician. He retired after 22 years with Central Industrial Electric Company. After retirement, he could not be still sitting at home so worked at Lowe's in the electrical supply department and Walmart, where he enjoyed the sporting goods department.

When his journey slowed enough for him to relax, he could be found in the shop that he and Mollie had built from the footings up. He liked trying to weld, build anything with wood, work on small engines or just sit and listen to the music that came out of the big speakers he had mounted on the wall. Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard and Marty Robins will never be played the same.

As with any trip that lasts 84 years, there are good and bad times along the way. Good times include the birth of his two daughters; Judi and Lisa. Bad times came with the loss of his parents, his wife the mother of his children, Billie Ann and a granddaughter, Rebecca Crowson.

Tom made many trips to church. Most recently when possible, going to GracePoint Pentecost Church of God. There he enjoyed the singing, the teaching and preaching of the true Gospel of Christ.

Family left to continue their journeys without him are his sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Richard Gaudette; His daughters and spouses: Judi and Harry Free, their son, John and Marie Free; Lisa and Eric Brown, their children, Jennifer Ellison, Jamie and David Scott and their grandchildren, Adyn, DaMario, Jordan and Liam; His wife, Mollie Carmical Browne and her children, Duane 'Rusty' Ford and Michelle; Sonja and Scott Miller and their children, Clay Miller and Anastasia Miller and her wife, Sierra Burris.

Memorials may be made to a charity/church of your choice. Or, if you know a family that could use some groceries, a blanket, a coat, or shoes, please help them with their needs.
