Joye Lynn (White) Cooper, age 88, of Paris, Arkansas reunited with Charles Cooper Jr., the love of her life of 68 years, on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas.
Joye was born June 28th, 1936 in Wilmar, Arkansas to Clyde Paschall White and Effie Lee (Cox) White. She was a graduate of Hermitage High School and also obtained her Masters of Florist Certification. Joye and Charles owned and operated Cooper Drug and Cooper's of Paris. Joye was a founding member of the North Logan Mercy Hospital Auxiliary and was very passionate about having an accessible rural hospital for the Paris community. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Paris, where she helped establish a Widow's Ministry to connect and offer comfort to those who had lost significant others. She was a strong advocate of higher education and was able to see all of her children and grandchildren complete post-secondary degrees. She enjoyed sharing their educational successes with anyone who would listen.
Joye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Cooper, Jr.; her brothers, Robert White, Roger White, Larry White and Ted White and her sister, Paulette White Sutton.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Cooper Holderfield and husband, Scotty of Herbine; Candace Cooper Rieth and husband, Marlon of Conway; one son, Charles Arthur (Artie) Cooper and wife, Vicky of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren, Zachary Scott Holderfield and wife, Collin of Fayetteville; Christopher Charles Cooper and wife, Hannah of Rogers; Mackenzie Scott Holderfield and wife, Mindi of Herbine; Ashley Cooper Henriques and Matthew of West Memphis; Colin Alexander (Alex) Rieth and wife, Lindsey of Maumelle; Charles Aaron Rieth of Conway; Morgan Stem of Fayetteville and Madison Stem of Bella Vista; eight great grandchildren, Gabriel, Annagale and Ever Lior Holderfield; Livia, Jude, Cooper and Collins Henriques and Charlie Paige Cooper; two brothers, Raymond White of Flower Mound, TX and Nick White of Broken Arrow, OK; numerous nieces and nephews and beloved extended family member, Kristi Pfeiffer.
Funeral services will be under the direction of Roller Funeral Home at Southside Baptist Church, Paris, Arkansas on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Family will be available for visitation an hour prior to the funeral service.
A graveside service will be held at Prosperity Cemetery in Herbine, (210 Goggans Road, Rison, Arkansas) on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
Pallbearers are Zachary Holderfield, Christopher Cooper, Mackenzie Holderfield, Ashley Cooper Henriques, Colin Rieth and Charles Rieth.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Prosperity Cemetery in Herbine (14310 Hwy 35 South, Rison, AR 71665).
