of Cammack Village, AR
August 9, 1950 - December 17, 2024
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vicky Diana Tucker Holt, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life on December 17, 2024, in Cammack Village, Arkansas. Born on August 9, 1950, in Little Rock, Arkansas, she lived a life defined by strength, resilience, and an enduring love for family and faith.
Vicky was the daughter of the late "Bob" Hubert John Tucker and Mary Jeanette Tucker, lovingly known as "PaPa" and "MeMaw" to her children. She grew up in Little Rock and graduated from Central High School in 1968. She later moved to England, Arkansas, where her life blossomed. There, she became an active member of First Baptist Church, where many cherished family milestones were celebrated, including her marriage to Hyma Thomas Holt Jr. in 1982, her children's baptisms, and her daughter's wedding.
Vicky was a devoted mother to her two children, Dianna Jeanette Stockdale and Hyma Thomas Holt III, pouring her love and energy into raising them, especially after the passing of her beloved husband, Hyma Thomas Holt Jr., to cancer. Her resilience and unwavering faith carried her through life's trials, including her own courageous 8-year battle with cancer.
She was known for her love of holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas, which she celebrated with unmatched enthusiasm. Vicky's home was always beautifully decorated, filled with laughter, and welcoming to all. Her ability to make others feel loved and cherished was her greatest gift. She had a knack for bringing people together and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
After raising her family in England, Arkansas, Vicky moved back to Little Rock in 2007, settling in Cammack Village, where she continued to inspire those around her with her kindness, humor, and strong will. She cherished her time spent with her England 10+1 sisters, who brought laughter and support into her life. Vicky found joy in the simplest pleasures, from road trips with friends to blowing bubbles with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Dianna Jeanette Stockdale (Dr. Todd J. Stockdale) and Hyma Thomas Holt III, her sister, Laura Herr, and her treasured grandchildren, Hyma Thomas Holt IV and Hayden Thomas Holt, who were the light of her life. She also leaves behind her beloved cousins, extended family, and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hyma Thomas Holt Jr., and her parents, Bob and Mary Tucker.
A celebration of Vicky's life will be held on December 27, 2024, at First Baptist Church in England, Arkansas, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to honor her memory by cherishing the love she shared and the joy she brought into every life she touched. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the New Building Construction Fund for First Baptist Church in England, reflecting her giving spirit and love of helping others.
Though her passing leaves a massive hole in the hearts of all who knew her, Vicky's legacy of strength, faith, and love will live on in the memories of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a guiding light of kindness and joy.
