Ada Lou Shaw, 85, of Quitman, Arkansas passed away on December 10, 2024. She was born in Faulkner County on April 15, 1939 to the late Ralph and Ethel Webb.
Lou grew up most of her life in the Quitman area of Faulkner County and graduated from Quitman High School in 1957. Before retiring, Lou worked for Quitman Public Schools. She was a member of Church of God.
Lou was one of nine children who worked hard on the farm with her family. Her love of sewing, taught by her mother, gave Lou the tools to be a master seamstress. She loved sewing, quilting, embroidery and cross stitch. In her earlier years, she spent most of her time in her flower gardens or canning her green beans her family loved. Her family was very special to her and her death will leave a void in her family that will never be replaced.
She is preceded in death by her parents and survived by husband, Tommy L. Shaw; daughters, Judy Vint (Mike) and Sherri Bixler (Mike); son, Rex Shaw (Tammy); grandchildren, Nicholas Acre (Carolyn), Alexis Sasaki (Jason), Katie Kerr (Dalton), Ethan Shaw (Baylee); great-grandchildren, Gage, Oakley, Sam, Bennett; sisters, Mary Wilson, Linda Walls, LaNell Stephenson, Deane Baker, Chris Hopkins, Sharon Frey, Karen Webb and brother, Ralph Webb, Jr..
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00pm Friday, December 13, 2024 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with a visitation beginning one hour prior at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Quitman, Arkansas.
