Cassandra Jean Moss Nugent, 64, of Bauxite, Arkansas passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on May 9, 1960 in Fort Huachuca, Arizona, Cassie was the daughter of the late Bobby and Glenna Moss. She was a proud graduate of Arkansas State University in Beebe, Arkansas, where she earned an associate degree in Liberal Arts. She dedicated her life to helping others, working as a life skills trainer at Timber Ridge NeuroRestorative in Benton, Arkansas. Cassie especially loved coordinating plays and special programs for the residents, pouring her creativity and passion into Christmas, Easter and other productions that brought joy and meaning to many lives.
Cassie's greatest joy was her son, Trey Durante, whom she loved unconditionally. Their bond was one of deep care and connection, a testament to her nurturing spirit and devotion to family.
Cassie was known for her warm smile, kind demeanor and impeccable sense of style. She had a passion for fashion and enjoyed curating looks that expressed her creativity and personality. She also cherished time at the beach, finding peace and joy in the sound of the waves and the beauty of the shore.
Cassie is survived by her husband, David Nugent; her beloved son, Trey Durante and her siblings, Brenda Brown (David), Cheryl Hritz (Bob), Terrence Moss (Karen), Curtis Moss, James Moss, Ronald Moss (Jamie), Valerie Barnett (Kevin), Gary Moss and Karin Burress (Jim). She is also survived by many nephews and nieces who cherished her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Glenna Moss.
Visitation will take place at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Arkansas on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 6-9pm. A celebration of Cassie's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024 at The River Church in Searcy, Arkansas. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Cassie's unwavering faith, deep love for her family and passion for serving others were the hallmarks of her extraordinary life. Her love for creativity, fashion and the joy she brought to others through her work and presence will be remembered for generations. She will be profoundly missed and forever treasured in the hearts of all who knew her.
