Charles Kenneth (Kenny) Bridges, of Mayflower, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord on December 2, 2024. Kenny was born on October 11, 1963, to the late William Kenneth and Sara Nell Bridges. He is survived by his son Kyle Bridges and wife Charley, and grandson Dane of Conway, Arkansas, and by his daughter Kristin (Kitty) Cooley and grandchildren Jason, Anni, and K.J. of Sherwood, Arkansas, and stepdaughter Kerri Wood and husband Mike and step grandson Dakota, of Neosho, Missouri. He is also survived by two sisters, Wanda Smith and husband Bill of Escondido, California, and Ginger Thompson and husband Steve of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and brother-in-law Bob Rowe of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Kenny was preceded in death by his sister Joy Rowe of Bartlesville, OK.

Kenny was born in Demopolis, Alabama and attended Demopolis Academy where he graduated High School. Kenny moved to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, after high school and worked on a major highway construction project. In 1982 he met, and later married Leigh Ann Gamble and the couple bought a house in Ramona, Oklahoma, where they raised their three children.

Kenny continued working in the construction industry until he began working as a dispatch coordinator with Public Service of Oklahoma (PSO), a large electric utility in Northeast Oklahoma. Kenny showed proficiency in his work and quickly progressed to an Electric System operator position at the PSO Control Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 2001 Kenny was hired by Southwest Power Pool and the family moved to Conway, Arkansas.

In 2010, Kenny was hired by Keys Electrical Coop and he relocated to Key Largo, Florida, where he met Jeanne Marie Purdy. Kenny and Jeanne married and moved to Houston, Texas where Kenny went to work for Gridforce Electric. Kenny later went to work for the Energy Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) in Taylor, Texas, where he was responsible for balancing power generation load requirements. Kenny was a NERC certified electrical system operator at ERCOT.

Kenny ceased employment with ERCOT and moved to Mayflower, Arkansas, to be near his children. He enjoyed retirement life at Lake Conway and especially enjoyed the time he spent with his neighbors, family and friends. Kenny and Jeanne were avid Alabama football fans and could always be found wearing red Alabama jerseys on game day. He also shared his love of Alabama football with his children. Kenny was widowed when his wife Jeanne Marie died unexpectedly at their home after moving back to Arkansas.

Kenny enjoyed playing the guitar and singing Karaoke with family and friends during cookouts. Kenny also loved boating and riding four-wheelers out in the woods. His favorite times in life involved making memories with family and friends and blessing others.
