Belinda Carol Bose

of Madison, WI

July 30, 1959 - September 24, 2024

Belinda Carol Bose, known affectionately as "Nana" to some and "Benji" to many, made her grand exit from the stage of life on September 24, 2024, following unexpected post-surgery complications. She began life's journey on July 30, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and took her final bow in Madison, Wisconsin. She was a person who brought laughter and light to the world around her, embodying the spirit of a life well-lived. Belinda is survived by her husband Steve Bose, sister Denise Martin, brother Calvin Towery, her sons, James Burris and Randy Pinkston, grandchildren Aurora, Aidan, Alena, Cody, Aspen, Alex, Michael, Austin, and Connor; along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Bonnie Towery. An alumna of Osceola High she was active in her school's various athletic teams, which gave her a competitive spirit that she carried into her adult life as a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers. Belinda went on to work many jobs but spent most of her career as a customer service representative and bookkeeper, roles that stretched far beyond assisting customers or balancing books. She balanced the hearts of those she served with her southern charm. Benji tackled life with panache and style, an irresistible force that would challenge anyone to best her in 8-ball pool. She sewed together not just mundane cloth, but the very fabric of her family with her limitless love and creativity. Her garden was the stuff of legend, where she sowed seeds of joy in equal measure with her zucchinis; nurturing her children and grandchildren with the same devotion to ensure they grew up strong and vibrant. Belinda was a relentless champion for all members of her family, including those with four legs. Her rescued pets, both past and present, are evidence of her giving spirit and deep compassion for every life she touched. To say that Belinda was caring, generous, and creative hardly scratches the surface of her multifaceted persona. She was a vibrant soul who made every moment feel important, with a kindness that knew no bounds and warmth that was endlessly inviting. Belinda's legacy is an invitation to all: to nurture the people you love with understanding and grace, to live life as fully as possible, and to find beauty in everyday moments. Take a page out of Benji's book: Love generously, laugh often, and cherish every moment, both mundane and extraordinary, that life tosses your way-it's her enduring gift to us all.
