Catherine Walker Malcom, 71, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away November 8th, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Cathie was born September 16th, 1953 in Lufkin, Texas. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James Phillip Malcom, her daughters, Lissa Malcom Culbreath (Jeremy), Anne Malcom Gardner (Eric) and three grandchildren, Mack and Mia Heid, Bennett Gardner and one grandchild on the way, Walker Gardner. She is also survived by her brothers Jim Walker (Jolene) and Tom Walker (Cynthia) and her sister, Margaret Long. Cathie is also survived by her beloved sister-in-law Mary Anne (Cecil) Cupp. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Cathie was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Jack Walker, and her brother, Jack Walker.
Cathie gave unconditional love to her husband, children and grandchildren. She adored her family and cherished spending time with them more than anything. She would always go above and beyond for her grandchildren and loved being their CiCi.
Cathie earned a baccalaureate degree from the University of Arkansas in accounting. She was a certified public accountant and worked for many years at Hudson, Cisne and Co.
In her later career she was general manager of Malcom Law Firm. Cathie was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at University of Arkansas. She was instrumental in the major addition and renovation of the Kappa Kappa Gamma house at the University of Arkansas.
She was a gifted and beautiful piano player and the joy she would bring everyone while playing her piano was so bright and happy. She earned a graduate degree from the UALR in piano performance.
Cathie was one of the earliest members of Fellowship Bible Church where she loved working in the bookstore. She was an ardent student of God's Word and known for intercessory prayer.
Cathie enjoyed planning trips for groups of friends to places as varied as Alaska, upstate New York and even Mark Twain's Hannibal, Missouri. It was a special talent of hers.
Cathie was a strong, talented, graceful, elegant, and intelligent woman, who had the most infectious smile. She had a smile that could light up a room. Cathie brought joy to all that knew and loved her. Cathie and her sweet smile will be deeply missed by many. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is at eternal peace with the Lord in heaven.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 15, 2024, at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I 30, Little Rock, Arkansas. The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 16, at Fellowship Bible Church, 1401 Kirk Road with burial to follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Maumelle.

Donations can also be made to Hospice Comfort Care, where her beloved husband resides now. She felt so loved during her time with hospice and also the love that they have shown her husband throughout the last year.
