Carol JoAnn Feemster, age 72, of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this earthly life on Friday, November 8th, 2024 at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born in Marshall, Arkansas on May 1st, 1952 to Troy Taylor and Lora Watkins Taylor.
JoAnn had a varied and interesting working career, including but certainly not limited to working as a dental assistant for Dr. Hubbard, working at Flintrock Shirt Factory and ending her career as a veterinarian assistant for Doc Blair. JoAnn continued to work part-time at SDM Water Association up until her death. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and working in her flowers. Her happy place was mowing her yard. A chore she took great pride in. JoAnn was an avid Razorback fan. The light of her world was her grandkids. She loved watching them play ball or participating in whatever activity they were involved in. Her strong spirit will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her children, James Cameron Horton and wife, Brooke of Marshall and Lori Michelle Kelley and husband, Shane also of Marshall; grandkids, Rylee Taylor Kelley and Tate Isaac Kelley; siblings, Shelby Brasel (Dean) of Harrison and Troylene Jones of Alexander; sister-in-law, Kay Taylor of Eldorado, Kansas and many extended family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Lora Taylor; her husband, Mike Feemster, who passed away in 2014; brother, Huel David Taylor and brother-in-law, Bill Jones.
Graveside services for JoAnn will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 13th, 2024 at McDaniel Cemetery in Snowball, Arkansas with Bro. Jackie Smithson officiating. Visitation will be held at the cemetery one hour preceding the service, 10-11 AM. Burial will follow, where JoAnn will be laid to rest beside her husband, Mike Feemster. Bearers will be Cameron Horton, Shane Kelley, Mike Jones, Jeff Brasel, David Taylor and Alice McKinney. Honorary bearers will be Tate Kelley, Dusty Clark, Mark Herrera and Mark Gaylo.
