Frances June Middleton

of Mansfield, AR

September 21, 1930 - November 7, 2024

Frances June Middleton, age 94, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. She was born on September 21, 1930, in Morning Star, Arkansas, to Uriah and Anna Still. As one of 15 children, Frances was raised in a vibrant home.

Frances was the cherished mother of three daughters: Beth Boyd (husband Ken), Kathy Vanlandingham, and Sara Watson (husband Jon). She also leaves behind a legacy of 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great joy to her.
Throughout her life, Frances was deeply devoted to her faith and to sharing it with others. She loved the Lord Jesus and spent over 40 years teaching Bible study to residents at the nursing home, where she touched many lives. Her love for God's Word was unwavering; she studied it intently as well as listened to it on audio tape. She often gifted others with copies of My Utmost for His Highest, her favorite devotional.

In addition to her spiritual dedication, Frances had a lifelong passion for gardening. Her green thumb was well known, as she was able to grow almost anything. Her magnolia trees, grown from seed, and her famous tomatoes, loved by all who tasted them, are just a few of the many plants that flourished under her care. The garden was her peaceful place, where she found joy and contentment.
Frances was also blessed with the lifelong friendship and support of Dr. Ron and Ellen Hardin and children.

She will be remembered for her kindness, wisdom, and faithfulness-both to her family and to the Lord she loved so deeply.
