October 8, 1930 - November 8, 2024
Kathryn Elaine Williamson was born in Manning, Kansas on October 8, 1930 to George and Leta See. She, her two sisters and a brother lived on and worked the family farm until May 1944 when they moved to Boulder, Colorado. Kathy graduated high school in 1948 and began working as a secretary in Denver. Later, she moved to Golden, Colorado. She was an exceptional typist and would type master's theses for various students in the area. While living in Golden, she met and married Randall L. Williamson on September 18, 1959. They built a home in Lakewood, Colorado where they lived with their two daughters, Sharon and Annette, until September 1969. The family then moved to Adelaide, South Australia where Randy took a position as a petroleum engineer with Delhi International Oil Corporation.
While in Australia, the family took several home leaves to visit family and friends in the United States. They were also fortunate enough to make stops at various other locations, including Mauritius, Kenya, South Africa, Paris, Hawaii, Rio de Janeiro, Fiji and Tahiti, to name a few. Kathy really enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, searching for antiques, the American Women's Association as well as her gourmet cooking classes.
In April 1979 Randy and Kathy moved to Dallas, Texas in order for Randy to wrap up his employment with Delhi. They traveled to Fairfield Bay, Arkansas and decided to move here following retirement in April 1982. Kathy was very active in the community and was involved in various church activities and choir, Questers, Red Hat Club, bridge and volunteered at Wear & Share. She has made life-long friends everywhere she lived.
Kathy left us on November 8, 2024 peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold and sisters, Velma and Evelyn; sister-in-law, Martha; as well as two nieces and one nephew.
