William ''Bill'' Yates, 72, of Jonesboro passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024. He was born on January 19, 1952 in Memphis to Henry Glover Yates Jr. and Bobbie Lou Yates-Belue. Bill worked in dry cleaning for the family owned businesses for many years. He enjoyed fishing and had a great eye for detail. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Gail Yates; sons, Russell (Liz) Yates and Jason Green; daughters, Christie Weaver and Brandy Green; grandchildren, Jacquelin, Joseph, Mason, Charles, Eamon and Jonathan; sisters, Rita Davison and Beth Yates; as well as a host of family and friends. He is preceded by his parents; brothers, Michael Yates, Tommy Yates and Jimmy Yates and sisters, Carol Yates and Debbie Underwood.
