of Wooster, AR
November 25, 1948 - August 29, 2024
Sherrial ''Sherry'' Ann Collier, 75, passed away on August 29, 2024 at her home. Sherry's ''Long and Winding Road'' began on November 25, 1948 in DeWitt, Arkansas to the late Alva Virgle ''Bud'' Collier and Anna L. Cross Collier. Sherry grew up in Forest Park, Illinois, but relocated to Greenbrier, Arkansas in 1973, where she lived most of her adult life.
Sherry was one of the original team members at CCX (now Acxiom) in Conway, AR. She retired from Acxiom after over 40 years of service. She made a lasting impression on her coworkers and they on her, many of whom became close friends.
Sherry was an avid music lover, but The Beatles were forever her favorite band. Her love for music was the start of many friendships. She enjoyed attending concerts, listening to music of all genres and introducing others to the music she loved. Multiple coworkers have shared stories about connecting with her over a ''Let It Be'' poster hanging in her office.
Sherry also loved to travel, whether it was a cross-country trip with her friends, family vacations, Ireland, or back to Chicago. Sherry was a born and raised fan of the Chicago Cubs and rarely missed a game. She loved seeing new places, beautiful landscapes, or visiting family and friends. Sherry also loved to share about her travels. She had a multitude of experiences and her favorite way to bond with others was to exchange stories together.
Sherry's friends and family were her life. She will be remembered for her love, kindness, acceptance of everyone around her and her ability to meet people where they were. If you knew Sherry, you probably knew her hugs. They were full of love and will be missed as much as her. There could never be enough people to absorb all the love she had to give. Her intense love extended to all animals, from the hummingbirds in her yard to the bears in Yellowstone. She spoiled all her pets beyond measure and never turned down the opportunity to love another. She could not ''Imagine'' a home without her pets snuggled up with her.
Sherry is survived by her brothers, Alva Collier, Jr. (Brenda) and Virgil Collier; her sister-in-love, Faith Lyke (Doug); her nieces, Barbara McCrory (Patrick) and Jamie Webster (Craig); her great-niece, Chloe McCrory; her great-nephew, Griffin McCrory and her fur-baby, Wrigley. In addition to her immediate family, Sherry leaves behind many extended family members and friends who she loved like family.
At Sherry's request, there will be no funeral service. Instead, she asked that friends and loved ones donate in her memory to a charity of your choice. Her family will ''Come Together'' with friends from ''Across the Universe'' to celebrate her life at a later date.
''In the end the love you take is equal to the love you make.''
