of Searcy, AR
May 3, 1958 - August 31, 2024
Polly Annette Lackie, 66, was born in Conway, Arkansas, she then peacefully departed on August 31, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was born May 3, 1958 to Alvin Lackie and the late Cleo Lackie. They relocated to Pine Bluff, Arkansas for a few years and returned to Searcy where she graduated from Searcy Schools.
She went to Denver, Colorado for Florist training. When she returned to Searcy, she ran The Boutique and All about Flowers. She also had side jobs as a florist, which included weddings, holiday parties, special events and funerals. She was known for the beautiful work she was gifted in doing. She was also a teacher's aide at Sunshine School in the little kid's class. She drove a bus there and later for Searcy High School. She was also a caregiver to numerous family members. The last two years were ones of hope and restoration. She had a new outlook and plans for a new journey. There was no doubt that she loved us and was proud of us.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and her mother, Cleo Lackie. She is survived by her father, Alvin Lackie; her daughter, Casey Fry (Dustin); her son, John Aska (Nikita) and nine grandchildren, Cora, Clara, Emma, James, Timothy, Catherine, Audrey, Henry and Quince; a brother, Robert Lackie; nieces and nephews and their families. Many friends and loved ones as well.
Her legacy would be to speak for those who can't speak for themselves and leave the world in a more beautiful place.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00PM on September 10, 2024 at the First Presbyterian Church in Searcy.
