Charles Edward Smith of Hot Springs, AR departed this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 9:00 am at the age of 53. He was born October 8, 1970 in Jonesboro, AR to Charley and Evelene (White) Smith of Fisher, AR. Charles grew up in Fisher and Weiner, AR. He grew up in the Church of God in Fisher. He worked as a plumber for several years. Charles had a wonderful sense of humor and was loved by many and he loved many.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents.

Charles was the youngest of four siblings. He leaves behind two sisters, Dorthedia ''Dot'' Smith Jones and Brenda Smith and one brother, Robby (Mary) Smith. He also leaves behind one aunt, Zannie Mae Smith of Lake City, AR; three nieces, LeiAnn Barker Potts, Amber Fahr and Eva Smith; one nephew, Dustin (Janet) Jones; a multitude of cousins, great nieces and nephews from the White and Smith Side of the family. He is also survived by his childhood and lifelong best friend, Bryan Carter. He was very close to his cousin, Samuel Smith.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Bro. Gary Barker officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Visitation will precede the service and begin at 1 pm until time of service.

Honorary pallbearers will include Chris Smith, Bryan Carter, Terry Joe Harper, Clarence Smith Jr., Charles Burns and Robert Rouse.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial contribution in Charles's name to Full Circle Missions or Jackson House, both located in Hot Springs.
