Theo Daniel Hooten, 72, of San Diego, California passed away on 6 July 2024. He was born on 8 July 1951 in Batesville, Arkansas to the late Herbert Earl Hooten and Zola Wallace Hooten. He was a retired boating and sporting goods salesman and a veteran of the Arkansas National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brother, Michael Earl Hooten, and his wife, Laura Ann Hooten of Denver, Colorado and his niece, Leah Michelle Hooten of Baltimore, Maryland.
He was known to those close to him as Dan. He was wildly gregarious and had an infectious laugh. He enjoyed golfing and traveling to both Mexico and the Philippines where he had many very close friends. His most common departing phrase was, "I'm so very pleased that you had the opportunity to meet me!"
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00AM, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas on 28 September 2024. A burial will immediately follow the service at Copperas Springs Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas.
