Jimmy Dale Harris

July 12, 1946 - July 23, 2024

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jimmy Dale Harris, age 78, of Marshall, Arkansas. He went to his heavenly home on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024 after a brief stay at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on July 12th, 1946 to Talmage and Marlie Smithson Harris.

Jimmy Dale preferred to be at his farm in Punkin Flat checking his cows, baling hay or hunting. He served as the Searcy County Justice of the Peace - District I for over 15 years and worked as a small business owner in a variety of industries, including dry-wall finishing, restaurant management, commercial hay baling, dairy farming and excavation. Jimmy Dale's greatest joy was spending time with all of his grandchildren. He loved hearing about all of their extracurricular activities and giving them advice on how it should be done.

From a loving blended family, he is survived by his companion of 35 years, Gail Feese; three daughters, Suzanne Woods (Rob), Mindy Wallace, Holly Beavers (Clint) all of Marshall; one step-daughter, Stephanie Feese Alsbrook (Scott) of Conway, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Macie Woods, Jace Beavers, Max Beavers and Tripp Wallace; two step-grandsons, Austin (Amber) Beavers and Andrew Alsbrook; three sisters, Leyon Bratton, Brenda Hiett (Ronnie) and Tammy Treece (Eddie) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Talmage Harris; mother, Marlie Smithson Harris and sister, Sylvia Sample.

Funeral services for Jimmy Dale will be 2:00 PM Friday, July 26th, 2024 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Shane Horton officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 till 2:00 PM preceding the service. Burial will be in Dongola Cemetery. Bearers will be Jace Beavers, Max Beavers, Ronnie Horton, Steve Rooney, Randy Loggins and Charles McDaniel. Honorary bearers will be Tripp Wallace, Andrew Alsbrook, Scott Alsbrook, Clint Beavers, Rob Woods, James Craig Sanders, Johnny Neel, Ronnie Hiett and Eddie Treece.
