Virginia Smith Alexander, age 87, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 in Memphis, Tennessee. She was born on Saturday, November 2, 1936 in Helena, Arkansas to the late Claude Smith and Iva Whitworth.

Virginia was a member of Junior Auxiliary in Phillips County as well as a board member of the Desoto School, INC. She was a homemaker for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Gayle Alexander; son, Donald Milton ''Brother'' Alexander; two grandchildren, Alexis P. Alexander (Quency) and Ethan Alexander (Meena), and three great-grandchildren, Kai, May, Aria Alexander; sister, Sarah Brardshaw. Virginia is also survived by her beloved dog, Reese.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of sixty-four years, B.D. Alexander; her father, Claude Smith; her mother, Iva Smith' along with one brother, Harold Smith and two sisters, Juanita Turner, Lois Gregory.
