David Younger, 61, of Melbourne passed away Friday, July 12, 2024.

He was born May 8, 1963 in Niles, Michigan to Sid and Sandra (Morley) Younger.

David worked at a sawmill since he was 14 years of age. He was a straight forward, quiet person with a big, caring heart who loved his family. David attended Sage Baptist Church. He and his wife, Rebecca were married on July 4, 1998 and celebrated 26 years of marriage together.

Survivors include his wife, Rebecca (Tate) Younger; one son, Sidney Younger (Brandy) of Magness; one daughter, Jamie Riley (Keith) of Batesville; one brother, Daniel Younger (Christy) of Marcella; three sisters, Marsha Thomas (Randy) of Pfeiffer, May Younger of Mountain View, Marie Little (Ray) of Pfeiffer; four grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews; cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Timothy David Younger and one step-daughter, Kristie Johnson.

Pallbearers are Daniel Younger, Andy Clark, Johnny Brown, Jason Younger, Michael Clark and Junior Younger. Honorary pallbearers will be Sidney Younger and Trent Younger.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 at 10:00am at Sage Baptist Church with Doyne Robertson. Burial will follow at Reeves-Pine Grove Cemetery.
