She was very active in her church, school and community, working at Baptist Medical Center, LR, Little Rock Chamber of Commerce and Southwestern Bell. Being very much the "people person" the job she enjoyed most was the years she spent in the dress shop at the Excelsior Hotel, (now Marriot Hotel) where she met people from all over the world.

Lois and Walt loved travel, cruises were the favorite, also Ballroom dancing and volunteer work as long as she could. She loved working with the flowers in her yard and playing bridge and dominoes with friends. She really enjoyed going to basketball, volleyball, football, dance recitals, all those things to see her grandchildren in action. Lois truly loved her family and spending time with them more than anything!
