Eugene Douglas Staton, 94, of Bigelow died Thursday, May 23, 2024. He was born on May 21, 1930 in Almyra, Arkansas to Seaborn Staton Sr. and Modena Rollins Staton. He was a graduate of Scott High School in 1948. While serving in the Navy, he met Mamie Walker and on August 22, 1952 they were married in Los Angeles. He had a wide array of jobs during his lifetime including cattleman, carpenter, barber and commercial fisherman.

Mr. Staton is survived by his wife, Mamie; a daughter, Kerry (Alan) King of Daphne, AL; two sons, Donald (Donna) Staton of Dyer, AR and Randy Staton of Mayflower; eight granddaughters and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Gail and Seab Jr and three sisters, Elsie Lee Dixon, Martha Cantrell and Faye Brown.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Crestlawn Cemetery in Conway.
