Carol Marie Duncan

of Cabot, AR

July 19, 1950 - May 12, 2024

Carol received the greatest Mother's Day gift of all by entering the gates of heaven at age 73. Carol was born July 19, 1950 in Sutter Creek, CA to Ernest W & Georgellen Grover.

Carol grew up in Wellton, AZ and graduated from Antelope High School. After high school she obtained her cosmetology license. Carol and her family moved to Searcy, AR in 1977. She lived in Searcy for 45 years where she was a hairdresser for many years. Carol was a hard worker and she worked multiple jobs to support her and her sons.

Carol was a devoted Christian, loving mother, mother-in-law, Mamaw, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Her smile and laugh would light up the room and she made everyone around her feel welcome and loved.

Carol loved her family more than anything. Nothing gave her more joy than being with her family. During her retirement years, she would spend half her time in AR with her kids and the remaining half with her family in AZ. She was a strong, independent lady to the very end. The last two years she resided in Cabot, AR.

Carol's health was failing her in the last months of her life and she was so tired of hospitals and doctors. She said that she was going to ''let go and let God.'' Three weeks ago, she made the choice to go home to live out the rest of her days surrounded by the ones she loved. And that's exactly what she did! She lived life her way till the very end. Carol gifted her family the best gift she could ever give knowing that she is in Gods loving arms with no more pain, dancing on the streets of gold and singing in heavens choir!

Carol was preceded in death by her father, E.W. (Monk) Grover; her mother, Georgellen Grover; her step-mom, Wanda Grover; her brother, Bill Bones Grover and a daughter-in-law, Tonia Stout.

Left to cherish Carol's memories are her sons, Wes (Carrie) Stout, Mike (Mandy) Stout; grandsons, Austin (Gayelyn) Hargrove, Drew (Maddie) Stout, Colby and Carson Stout, Kaleb (Katy-Beth) Redman; granddaughters, AnnaBelle (Alex) Burrow and Miranda Claire Redman and a great-grandson, Tobias. Her twin brother, Don (Paulie) Grover; her sisters, Judy Tomey, Jean (Keith) Moore all of Wellton, AZ; a special friend of 59 years, Linda Stringham; as well as a host of nephews, nieces and friends. As well as her beloved chihuahua babies, Bubby & Sissy.

The family would like to thank Carol's compassionate medical team and Baptist Hospice, along with the countless family and friends that have prayed and helped Carol and us during this difficult time.

A celebration of Carol's life will be held at First General Baptist Church of Searcy where Carol was a member for many years, Thursday, May 16th at 2:00 p.m.
