In loving memory of Peggy Gwen Smith, who graced this world with her presence on June 10, 1958 and peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on May 10, 2024. Surrounded by the love of her family, Peggy joined her dear parents, Joddie and Ruby Meredith; sister, Joan Johnson; brothers, Bobby, Eddie and Floyd Meredith and grandson, Joshua in eternal peace.

Peggy's gentle spirit touched the lives of many. She found comfort and joy in nurturing her garden, where she cultivated beauty and found peace among the blossoms. Her love extended to crafting, where she shared cherished moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured for generations to come. While the suddenness of Peggy's passing weighs heavily on our hearts, we find comfort in the belief that she now resides in a place of everlasting peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Though we mourn her absence, we are grateful for the love and light she brought into our lives. As we navigate this time of grief, let us find comfort in the memories we shared with Peggy and the love that will forever bind us together. May her spirit continue to guide and comfort us in the days ahead. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Peggy's legacy of love and kindness is carried on by her devoted husband, Joey Smith and her cherished children, Loretta Lynn Woods of Shirley, Arkansas and Montgomery Lanier. She also leaves behind a loving brother, Joddie D. Meredith; sister, Terry Meredith Long; as well as her precious grandchildren: Allison, Brittney, Caitlyn, Drake, Elaina, Samuel and Dallas. Additionally, she is survived by five great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Brynlee, Ava, Riverly, Brinley and Stella and her dear son-in-law, Samuel Woods Sr.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas. Interment will follow at Crowell Mountain Cemetery.

Due to Peggy's unexpected passing the family has asked in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions are made to help with her final expenses.
