Michael E. Whitehead 69, of Lonsdale, Arkansas passed away on April 25, 2024, at UAMS, Little Rock, Arkansas.
Michael was born March 23, 1955, in Alaska, the son of the late Edward and Jacintia (Witham) Whitehead, while his father was stationed at Elmendorf Air Force Base. He married Sharon Gorline on September 2, 1983, at Gravel Hill.
Michael graduated from Benton High School in 1973. He attended the University of Arkansas Little Rock and graduated in 1975 with an associate degree. After college, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Keesler Air Force base, Biloxi, MS, as a Computer Systems Specialist.
When his tour with the Air Force was complete, Michael moved to Dallas and went to work for K & S, a semi-conductor company, for 28 years which allowed him to travel within the US and overseas. After leaving K & S, he started his own semi-conductor consulting company, MEW Consulting, which allowed him and Sharon to travel extensively within the US.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents Ed and Judy (Witham) Whitehead and his sister Renee Whitehead Denosky. He is survived by his wife Sharon, of over 40 years; his nephews Stephen and Chris Denosky of Orlando, Florida and Karl Gorline of Atlanta, GA.; Mother in-law Betty Gorline; sister in-law Karen Gorline; brother in-laws Gary (Lynda) Gorline and family, Ed (Sue) Gorline and family; sister in-law Georgia Gorline and family; Cousins Doug (Renee) Witham and their daughters Brittany and Bridget; David (Lorna) Mongan; Greg Shell, Stephen Shell, Patsy Breshears, Levon James and Chandra Davis; his Mother's life-long friend Wanda Hill; his life-long friends; Michael James, Patrick James; Kitty Scott, and very close friends George Kivi, Patti and Terry Storer, Jim and Debbie Delaney, Jan Reynolds, John Callaway, Clare Roberts, Dave Leonhardt, Sarah, Paola and Jonah Kovich, and Nickie Adams
After 35 years living in Dallas, they moved to Lonsdale, ''in the little house by the cabin'' where he enjoyed driving 4-wheel trails on their property with Sharon and their one-eyed dog BJ.
Michael loved to help people and will be missed tremendously by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an animal shelter or a charity of your choice. Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
