Jimmy Jack King Story Bradford, 86, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2024 in Conway, Arkansas. Jimmy had lived in Conway near her three loving daughters in recent years.
Jimmy was born at home in Frankston, TX on July 28, 1937. She spent her childhood in Palestine, TX with her schoolteacher parents, Harmon and Evelyn King. The family moved to Odessa, Texas where Jimmy graduated from Odessa High School as an honor student in 1955. She attended Odessa College and was a member of the Las SeƱoritas de las Rosas bullwhip show team.
She met and married Edward Story and they lived in Fullerton, CA for several years before returning to Odessa where they were business owners and reared their girls. Edd passed away in 1982.
Many years later, Jimmy met and married Ernest Bradford. She and Ernest loved fishing together and were the envy of many catfish trout-line fishermen. Ernest passed away in 2013.
Jimmy is survived by her three daughters, Kathleen Story, Laura Young (Jeff), Evelyn Coppage (Chris) all of Conway, AR; a granddaughter, Colleen Young of Little Rock and two grandsons, Calder Young (Kristine) of Wichita, KS and Caleb Stricklen (Alainna) of Highlandville, MO.
Jimmy loved roses, country music, fishing, reading and most of all, her sweet family. She had a beautiful smile.
Jimmy will be remembered as a beloved wife and mother, a loving friend and a devoted dog owner.
Though she is gone from our sight, love is forever!
The family plans a small, private memorial. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society.
