Patricia Nicholson King
Born to the late Cornelius and Ruby Hopkins Nicholson in Newport, AR. Preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Dewayne King; her son, David Dewayne King and also by her sisters, Polly Sharp and Doris Williams and Doris's son, Jimbo.
Survived by her son, Billy and daughter in law, Michelle, their daughter, Hannah and her son, Riley. As well as David's children, Jason and Nikki and Nikki's children, Darby and Delilah. As well as Polly's sons, Eddie, Ray, Chris and James Sharp and Doris's daughter, Maggy Sutherland.
Graduated class of 1951 from Newport High.
Through the years she treasured all the people and friends she met working with Cub Scouts, Brownies, Girl Scouts, as President of PTAs, Chamber of Commerce, Heritage Club and Cosmopolitan Club. As a volunteer for literacy, usher at The Rep, Master Gardeners, Christmas Angels, CASA and Christ Closet. As well as playing cards with Rummy Club, England Bridge Club, Bridge House in Little Rock and at the kitchen table with Rose, Evelyn and Barbara.
Pat's first full-time job was with the Welfare Dept. of Jackson Co. as a secretary, then to Revere Copper & Brass and Victor Metals in Newport. She was bookkeeper in Banks at Tyronza, Osceola and Brinkley as well as Caplinger Chevrolet and Dolan Inc in England and retired as home-school coordinator at England School District.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Circle 5 of England.
She asked that you donate your time as a volunteer to a church, school, library or food closet.
Flowers will also be appreciated.

Pallbearers are Eddie Sharp, Ray Sharp, Chris Sharp, James Sharp, Tyler Sutherland, Sam Sutherland, David Sharp, Dion Sutherland, Matt Eason, Kevin Cauley and Don Carter.
Funeral services are being handled by Roller England Funeral Home, (501) 842-3939. The service will be Friday, April 12th at 11:00 A. M. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Roller England. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cemetery.
