Cara Gunther Grant, 42, of Cushman passed away Monday, February 26, 2024.

She was born September 2, 1981 in Batesville to Steve Gunther and Sherrie Kinion Gunther.

Cara was a member of The Rock Outreach Church, who loved the Lord and was passionate about God and serving him. She was a 1999 Graduate of Cushman High School, a great mother who loved her children and playing sports, especially basketball and softball. Cara loved to read, mainly life stories, and enjoyed nursing. She was a planner, especially when it came to vacations. Cara was a ray of sunshine who loved people and helping others. She loved life, her family, and her church.

Survivors include her husband, whom she married on November 22, 2019, Chris Grant of the home; four sons, Layton Hennings of Cushman, Ethan Grant of Batesville, Keyan Hennings and Eli Grant, both of the home; her parents, Steve and Sherrie Gunther of Cushman; one brother, Bucky Gunther (Candice) of Cushman; maternal grandfather, Dickie Bob Kinion of Batesville; mother and father-in-law, Larry and Margaret Grant of Franklin; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Katy Grant of Ash Flat; nephew, Asa Smith of the home, several aunts and uncles, as well as several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Owen and Dean Gunther, and her maternal grandmother, Bobbie Lassiter Kinion.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 2:00pm at The Rock Outreach Church with Steve Gunther and Chris Grant officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm until service time.

Memorials may be made in her honor to a charity of your choice.
