Jimmy Lindsey, born James William Lindsey, Jr., passed away January 7, 2024, with family by his side. He was born to the late James William and Lucille Louise (Jones) Lindsey, Sr. in Scotland, Arkansas on August 7, 1950.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters; Johnnie Lott, Margie Edwards, Janis Rhoades, two nephews; George Lott and Ronnie Lindsey.
Jimmy lived a simple life, was well natured, had a big heart, was extremely sweet and contributed to our community by helping most anyone he met. He would stock shelves for Pepsi, Lays and anyone else that may need a hand, always with a smile and a story. Jimmy loved basketball and football. The Dallas Cowboys and Duke Blue Devils were his favorites. He attended most of the Scotland Bulldogs games, was the ''Ref'' and their biggest fan. Jimmy had a love for music, George Jones and Conway Twitty were among his favorites and he listened to The Wolfe 105.1 when he could. Jimmy attended Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Rumor has it, he was honorary mayor of Scotland.
No matter how you feel about yourself today, remember this: There's at least one person on this earth who knows how awesome you are.
Left to cherish Jimmy's memory are his brothers; Tommy Lindsey of Springfield, Arkansas, Rocky (Lisa) Lindsey of Clinton, Arkansas, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and more friends than you can count.
