Betty Joyce Riggs, 88, of West Memphis, AR passed away on December 19th of natural causes.

Betty was born on August 28, 1935 to Carlos and Pearl Smith in Marked Tree, AR. She met the love of her life, Leon Riggs and was married on September 25, 1951. She served as the secretary for a small family-owned construction company. Her passion was helping her husband and raising her four children, Brenda Lancaster, Cindy Riggs, Larry Riggs (Kimberly) and Lynn Hemingway (George).

Betty had a caring smile that would illuminate the room.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, Carlos and Pearl; her husband, Leon; her brothers, Virgil and James and sister, Barbara. She is survived by her children, as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

There will be a celebration of life with visitation at 11:00 and services at 12:00 on Wednesday 12/27 in West Memphis, Arkansas at Roller Citizens Funeral Home. The burial will take place after at Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree, Arkansas.
