Charles William Brown, 80, died December 11, 2023 in his home in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Charles was born September 22, 1943 in Osceola, Arkansas to Austine Elmer and Lillie Lorine (Jackson) Brown.
Charles was always a hard-working family man and was of the Baptist faith. Charles spent the majority of his life as a mechanic working for Dooley and Smith Motors, Kent Chevrolet, Goodyear and eventually his own business, Brown's Auto Service. Charles loved his family, automobiles and tractors and was an avid gun collector and loved to fish, hunt and give his family wake-up calls with either phone calls or screeching violin. Charles was a man of many talents including building things to last and would do anything for his kids and grandkids.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Austin Elmer and Lillie Lorine Brown; sisters, Peggy Casey, Carol Jean Brown, Emma Jean West and Annie Mae Hurt; brothers, George Thomas Brown, John Plaze Brown and Willie Jay Brown. Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosetta (Coleman) Brown; daughter, Joyce Parker of Mountain Home; son, George (Danelle) Brown of Falls City, Nebraska and Tracy (Janet) Brown of Bella Vista, Arkansas; grandchildren, Aubrey (Justin) Lowry of Salem, Illinois, David (Valory) Parker of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Quentin (Joni) Parker of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, Billy Brown of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Taylor Brown of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Richard (Jennifer) Freeman of West Plains, Missouri, Kristina (Tanner) Hammond of Viola, Arkansas, Jason (Megan) Freeman of Jacksonville, Florida; great grandchildren, Brenna Lowry, Nate Lowry, Airabella Longtin, Atlas Longtin and Jamie Freeman; sisters, Cat Casey of Colt, Arkansas, Betsy Cooper of Wynne, Arkansas, Rita (Wayne) Hicks of Vandale, Arkansas; brother, David Brown of Forrest City, Arkansas; as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends
A visitation will be held at Roller Funeral Home on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. following the visitation there will be a funeral service starting at 12:00 p.m.
