Sally June Brant Taylor was an Arkansan born and raised in North Little Rock. She was delivered by Dr. William M. Burns, the namesake of "Burns Park" on August 2, 1925.

She was invited by a neighborhood friend, while in 8th grade, to visit First Assembly of God where she gave her life to the Lord and her life was forever changed. Zora Warren, her Sunday School Teacher, prayed with her and took her under her wing, loving her.

It was one Sunday night soon after that she was sitting in the congregation with a friend and spotted the young man in the choir loft with his sister. She leaned over to her friend and said, "I?m going to marry that boy." Her friend thought Sally had lost her mind. They met after church and the young man walked her home. This led to John Taylor and Sally corresponding during his service in the army. Toward the end of World War II, they married and began a wonderful life of 56 years together.

Sally and John had four children; Eddie, Connie, and Ted, and Danny Bruce who was lost at birth. All three children attended Oral Roberts University and have had successful careers: Eddie as a business owner, Connie as an administrator at ORU and Ted as a Church of the Nazarene pastor. Sally was always proud and an important part of all their adventures.

Sally was very active in many endeavors such as selling Luzier cosmetics, promoting nature foods and lifestyle, camping with the family, volunteering at Springhill Baptist Hospital, missions to Guatemala & Haiti and other trips to Israel, Europe, and Alaska. Sally is best known for her work over 28 years organizing the 350 volunteers at the Annual Friendly Chapel Fish Fry. She loved producing many arts and crafts which included painting, crochet, and decorated October pumpkins.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Taylor; her daughter, Dr. Connie Sjoberg and husband, Dr. Don Sjoberg; her son, Rev. Ted Taylor and his wife, Evelyn and eight grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Nathan, Aaron, Silver, Diamond, Sabbatha and Jocelyn and five great-grandchildren.

A family visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, from 6-8 PM at Roller-Owens Funeral Home in North Little Rock.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 13, at 1:30 PM at First Assembly of God Church in North Little Rock.

A committal service will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
